Ross left school at 16
years because the school
and he were ‘no longer
on the same page’ – they
wanted to teach him
chemistry and woodwork
and he wanted to learn
how to create and sell things and make money.
At 19 years he got a job as a trainee salesman with
a division of Trebor Sharpe – a job he relished.
He then secured positions with Polycell and
Carnation developing his skills and experience in
sales and marketing.
Later, a sales development management role in
Pepsi proved to be the single most important
career move of his life. He spent nearly a decade
with Pepsi working in Europe, the Middle East
and Africa. He worked his way up the organisation
to hold a number of Vice President positions.
Not only did Pepsi stretch him but it also proved
to be the source of his ideas on alignment
and ‘getting everyone on the same page’ - the
inspiration to create his business SCQuARE
International and write this book.
